The Interior Project

We have provided here the usual scenario for the completion of your interior project. This serves to give you an idea of how the project will go, and basic information about the process. Be assured that your satisfaction, and achieving a long- lasting, quality product, is paramount in our service.

Here is an overview of what to expect and the process we use. This is not intended to be fully encompassing of every situation, but serves to give you the normal sequence of events and the timeline of what we do.

  • Our workers will usually arrive between 7.00 AM to 9.00AM  and work for 8 hours, except on the first and last days.

  • Crews typically consist of one or two people. One person is the designated Production Manager. Often, this will be the Owner, or the Production Supervisor.

  • A Pree's Professional Painting sign will be placed on your property, and we ask to keep this there for two weeks from the completion date. This will be picked up by us, but if you wish it to be removed before, do not hesitate to call us.

1.Colors
  • We can assist you with color selection for your project. A small "test patch" area will be applied a few days prior to the commencement of your project , or during the preparation stage to ensure you are pleased with your color selection, and to prevent holding up the start of your work.

2. Preparation

  • Before we start your interior project we ask you to remove all valuables from the area to be painted, for both our benefit. Also, furniture should be moved away from the area to be painted. If you are unable to do this we can assist you with  it.

  • The area to be painted will be covered with plastic with clean tarps over the top to prevent drips damaging your property.

  • Any cracks, holes or imperfections in the walls will be caulked and/or smoothed prior to painting.

3. Painting

  • Two coats of Kelley Moore paint will be applied, or any other paint of your choosing. Occasionally, deep colors, such as deep burgundy, may require three coats. We will advise you of this during your color selection process.

  • Baseboards and doors will be done last. Some clients want their doors painting, others may see it as unnecessary. Depending on the current state of your doors we will advise you as to whether we think it is necessary or not. Alternatively, we may decide together to just touch up the doors. Ultimately, the choice is yours.

  • Although we use low VOC paints, usually water- borne paints, ventilation is important , both for the drying process and the odor perspective.

4. Completion.

  • Once the painting is all finished it is time for final touches. We will do a walk-through with you and touch up anything that needs touch up. All tarps, plastic, and masking will be removed. Furniture will be returned to its original positon by us.
